I talk to plants more than people.
It is not a new thing; I find it easier to talk to plants, pets, and something that doesn't talk back in a literal sense.
I always believe that action speaks louder than words.
And I applaud myself for knowing how to take care of my family, which includes my pets and plants.
It is the introvert's passion to have that little interaction as possible. Because honestly, interactions with humans truly drain my energy, and I cannot keep up.
It is not a secret that I like being alone. It is a conversation that doesn't come up with people unless we have that similarity.
I wasn't born with a green thumb, but I discovered and re-discovered that taking care of plants does a good thing for my brain throughout the years.
For example, visually, I find it pleasant feeling seeing them around the house. As I breathe in and breathe out – I know we are doing good for each other as plants release oxygen and absorb carbon dioxide. "The effects of beautifying the indoor environment with plants are soothing and contribute to well-being and comfort."
- Lowers blood pressure
- Reduces Stress
- Boosts immune system
- Creates a positive mood
- Improves sleep
Physically it gives that comfort that humans cannot provide me,
I know that it helps me wind down after a busy day or week. It also provides me with reason to be okay – so that I can take care of my plants. As a female, I am a natural nurturer, and as time goes by, it provides me with growth as well; it brings confidence to my life since I am learning more about caring for them. As I provide care, I also learn how to love, be kind, and gratitude for all that it produces for me. It promises me tomorrow as it continues to flourish.
It also teaches me to be very thoughtful about my day and how I manage it.
I used all that I learn to have a quiet and peaceful life. The one that I truly wanted more than anything else.
It might not be as risk-taking, but I guess it is just how you look at it.
You attract what you think if you think flowers and bees or flowers and butterflies.
You plant it, they come.
While we might think we are nurturing our garden…
But of course, it's our garden that is nurturing us!
